Carmen Schmieder

Carmen Schmieder has been Managing Director Finance and Controlling at DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung since 1 September 2022.

The Finance division is responsible for providing a proper, transparent and reliable financial management.

As a controller, Carmen Schmieder also sees herself as a strategic partner of the management, helping to define the overall strategy and direction of the company. Finance pushes necessary developments throughout the company by allocating financial resources to growth- and result-enhancing initiatives and providing effective performance management tools.

Carmen Schmieder holds a degree in business administration and a master's degree in international business management. She started her career in 2003 in the automotive supply industry before taking on various leadership roles in finance at Canadian rail vehicle manufacturer Bombardier from 2007. Most recently, Carmen Schmieder headed the CFO department at the Swedish service company Securitas.
