Maintenance of hydrodynamic transmissions: contract from Hungary for the Chemnitz maintenance centre
DB Cargo Hungária has commissioned DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung with the general overhaul of type L206rs hydrodynamic transmissions for Class V290 locomotives. The partners concluded the contract at the TRAKO International Railway Fair in Danzig this year.
DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung's presence at the TRAKO International Railway Fair in Danzig (24 to 27 September 2019) is starting to bear fruit: DB Cargo Hungária has placed an order with the Chemnitz maintenance centre for overhauling transmissions to perform a general overhaul of 14 hydrodynamic transmissions for Class V290 locomotives. The partners concluded the relevant contract, running until 2024, at the TRAKO trade fair. It includes an option for overhauling four additional transmissions by 2027.
Many years of expertise impress client
DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung is very familiar with the type L206rs transmission. The Hungarian clients were also impressed by the Chemnitz maintenance centre's many years of experience with general overhauls of other hydrodynamic and hydromechanical transmissions for diesel locomotives and multiple units. It is already the second order to be placed with DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung this year by the Hungarian rail company, the first being a general overhaul of a type V290 locomotive successfully performed at the Cottbus maintenance depot. Thanks to this predictive maintenance, DB Cargo Hungária is able to safeguard the high level of performance expected from and valued by its shunting service clients, in particular those from the automotive, farming and construction industries. In combination with its traction offer for the whole of Hungary, the company is an important building block in DB Cargo's European network.
