Every year, more than 700 trainees and 40 cooperative education students throughout Germany learn their chosen profession at our maintenance depots. We are particularly proud of the fact that for many years now we have been able to offer employment prospects to our young talent at DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung and the DB Group once they have successfully completed their training. We currently offer you the opportunity to complete exciting training programmes at our maintenance depots in these professions:

• Warehouse logistics specialist

• Media technician/screen printing 

Your training usually lasts from three to three and a half years. To ensure that you find your way around during this time, we provide you with an established support system that offers you qualified and skilled guidance on site: 

• Trainee coordinators are responsible for supervising all trainees on site and are available to answer any overall questions or concerns you may have 
• Trainee coordinators define the content of training and guide you in your relevant discipline 
• Trainee facilitators train and support you in your practical work 

In recent years, we have built up a network of partnerships with various renowned universities, such as the Gera-Eisenach Cooperative State University and the Baden-Württemberg Mannheim Cooperative State University. Together with our partner universities, we are continuously expanding our portfolio so we can offer more talented young people a well-founded and forward-looking course of study in as many regions as possible. We currently offer cooperative education programmes for the following specialties: 

• Production engineering 
• Mechatronics and automation 
• Electrical engineering 
• Technical management 
• Industrial engineering 
• Business informatics 
• Practical computer science 
• Integrated engineering 

The practical Bachelor's degree programme usually lasts three years. During your course of study, you will alternate roughly every three months between theoretical phases at the university and practical phases at the company. The use of the various practical phases will be coordinated with you to ensure you have well-founded and varied insights into the profession. We offer you seamless support from advisors in your department, the party responsible for your practical placement and the junior employee general coordinator on-site.
