Since its foundation in 1929, our Dessau maintenance depot has been an important part of our maintenance depot landscape and offers you a wide range of services with its core competence in the field of modernisation, maintenance and overhaul of electric locomotives. Thanks to our experience and technical expertise, we can offer you the reconditioning of various components - from pantographs to wheelsets - and also provide you with competent support in the repair of accident damage.
In 2019, our maintenance depot commissioned the most modern locomotive testing centre in Europe. This allows locomotives with voltages of up to 25 kV to be tested on eight test benches.
Since 2011, the maintenance centre for transmissions in Chemnitz has also been part of the location.
Chemnitz branch
At our branch, we specialise primarily in the professional overhaul and repair of rail vehicle gearboxes.
Our particular focus is on VT gearboxes and Ecomat gearboxes, as well as flow gearboxes, turbo gearboxes, step and reversing gearboxes, and intermediate gearboxes for locomotives.
In addition, we overhaul your shunting couplings, such as the RK 900 type.
In our modern workshop, we use innovative processes such as flame spraying, wire flame spraying and arc spraying for thermal coating in accordance with the latest technical specifications.
We also offer you first-class solutions for the coating of shafts and finishing after thermal spraying. The result of thermal spraying is a targeted improvement in surface functionality without altering the microstructure, thereby providing wear resistance, heat resistance and corrosion protection. This is a cost-effective and forward-looking alternative instead of replacement and ensures an extended service life for your components.
