Our Kassel maintenance depot was built in 1893 and is today one of the most modern maintenance depots of DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung.
In Kassel, our competence centre is specialised in the overhaul, modernisation and on-demand as well as accident repair of all common diesel multiple units (DMUs). With its wheelset workshop, it is at the cutting edge of technology throughout Europe and repairs wheelsets of all common DMUs, EMUs (electric multiple unit) and ICE classes.
For vehicles with glass-fibre component superstructures, a special laminating hall was built in order to be able to repair rail vehicles with cladding made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic.
