Dessau Maintenance Depot named "Top Training Establishment"

The "Top Training Establishment" award was established by the chamber of commerce and industry to strengthen Saxony-Anhalt as a business location. "Our goals here are to increase awareness among the general public of the vocational training system and the career opportunities it offers, and to draw attention to the companies who have been committed to providing vocational training for many years," said Carola Schaar, president of the chamber of commerce and industry, who personally handed over the certificates and awards to recipients. "The title of 'Top Training Establishment' stands for high quality and indicates to future vocational trainees that a company provides high quality training" said Schaar. The title is awarded based on companies' commitment to vocational training, the activities they offer and the continuing education they provide to trainers. Contact with vocational schools, career guidance and work with disadvantaged young people are factors that are also taken into account. Fifteen out of the roughly 2000 training establishments in the region were selected for the award based on their contributions to vocational training.

The Dessau Maintenance Depot has had the title of "Top Training Establishment" since 2015. The depot provides vocational training in mechatronics, industrial electronics, industrial mechanics, cutting machine operation and industrial sales.
