Article: DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung achieves ISO 50001 certification - Another step towards greater energy efficiency and sustainability
DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung has been certified to ISO 50001 – the international standard for systematic energy management. With this significant step, we are further strengthening our commitment to greater energy efficiency, to our employees and to a more sustainable future.
The standard sets out a clear framework: systematically recording energy use, deriving key performance indicators, implementing targeted measures and making the results measurable. In this way, we optimise our energy use in the long term, lower consumption, reduce operating costs and make an important contribution to CO2 reduction.
We focus primarily on three aspects:
1. Cost-effectiveness: Energy efficiency pays off, particularly in the face of rising energy prices. Our measures are making us even more efficient.
2. Future-proofing: Demonstrating compliance with energy management standards already safeguards us against the increasing requirements already evident in our customers’ tenders.
3. Responsibility: For us, sustainability is more than just a buzzword. We work actively and continuously on processes that are more environmentally friendly and resource-efficient – for the benefit of society and future generations.
What added value does this offer our customers?
- Transparency & control: Systematic analysis of our energy consumption enables us to make targeted improvements – to processes that also benefit our customers.
- Cost savings: Through efficient technology and continuous optimisation, we reduce our energy costs – this boosts our profitability and the value we deliver to our customers.
