Introducing H² drive technology

The Federal Government's ambitious climate targets are naturally also reflected in how our perspectives are aligned as experts for rail transport vehicle maintenance. DB's diesel-powered fleet will be gradually converted to alternative drive technologies by 2040. That is one more reason why DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung is a pioneer in the introduction of H² drive technology into heavy maintenance. We see hydrogen as an excellent option for reducing CO₂ in rail transport – especially when the primary energy sources are renewable. We are happy to make an important contribution to protecting the environment by maintaining these vehicles of the future.
