Article: Cottbus maintenance depot

Our Cottbus maintenance depot was founded in 1874. Regular repairs, such as general inspections, as well as repairs on demand and accident repairs are carried out here according to your wishes.

In addition, the factory specialises in conversions, such as remotorisations or modernisations and is the creator of complex vehicle conversions.

In addition to stationary work, the Cottbus maintenance depot also offers mobile maintenance on-site. This eliminates your transport routes and reduces your vehicle downtimes to a minimum.

Over the next few years, the site will be transformed into DB's most modern and environmentally friendly maintenance depot.

In January 2024, the double-track hall for the heavy maintenance of ICE 4 trains was put into operation and officially opened. DB is initially creating 450 new highly qualified industrial jobs and apprenticeships at the Cottbus site and is expected to create a total of 1,200 new jobs by 2026 due to additional new track capacity.
