Managing Director Production

Nico Petersen has served as the Managing Director for Production at DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung since 15 March 2020. 

His main task is to ensure that DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung's network of depots meet customer requirements on time and at a reasonable price through efficient processes and a high standard of quality. 

In addition to production work in the maintenance depots, his work also focuses on introducing new products across multiple maintenance depots, managing complex vehicle redesign projects and defining product and production standards to enhance the production system. 

He is also responsible for the CTO division of DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung, which focuses on methods and standards in product management, technology and innovation management and digital products on the vehicle. In his role as Managing Director Production, Nico Petersen is also responsible for compliance with railway law requirements in the operations of DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung. 

Mr. Petersen holds a degree in Business Information Technology and a Master of Business Administration. He previously worked for Airbus for many years, most recently as Vice President/Head of A400M Industrial Production. There he was responsible for the development and production of the A400M in eight plants and five partner companies in Europe and abroad.
